Monday Night Racing announces “MNR Speedweeks” pre-season event
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Mar. 14, 2022) – Monday Night Racing (“MNR”) today announced that its Pro Series summer 2022 season will kick off with “MNR Speedweeks” at the virtual Daytona International Speedway on Monday, April 25.
“We have been contacted by so many in the motorsports industry this offseason about joining MNR, that our team came together to bring yet another reason to get hyped for our biggest and best season yet,” said Ford Martin, Founder and Co-Owner of Monday Night Racing. “We are tremendously excited about the return of MNR now on April 25th.”
“MNR Speedweeks” will be conducted just like how the real-world NASCAR Duels at Daytona are run where the entire field will be split into two qualifying races to battle their way into the MNR season opener the following week on May 2.
Each qualifying race will be 50 laps in length and the top 18 finishers from each event will automatically advance to the main event. The remaining drivers will then compete in a Last Chance Qualifier where the top four finishers will advance into the main event. The remaining five spots to complete the 45-car main event field will be determined by promoter’s choice.
TV broadcaster details and information for the MNR summer 2022 season will be announced at a later date.
Monday Night Racing summer 2022 season registration is still open with just six weeks remaining! Anyone in that works in the Motorsports industry interested in competing can sign up here.
